Iman Shumpert Arrested: Latest Details and Comments

Cleveland Cavaliers shooting guard Iman Shumpert was arrested on suspicion of DUI on Aug. 10 in Fayette County, Georgia, after he was pulled over during a traffic stop for a lane violation.

According to the team's official statement (via The Undefeated's Marc J. Spears), no court date has been set.

The Cavaliers added they have discussed the situation with Shumpert, "and will monitor the progression of the pending case."

A former Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets standout, Shumpert signed a four-year, $40 million deal with the Cavaliers prior to the 2015-16 season.

The 26-year-old proceeded to miss the first 21 games of the season after he ruptured a muscle in his right wrist, but he returned at full strength and averaged 5.8 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.0 steal in 24.4 minutes per night off the bench.

During the Cavaliers' NBA title run, Shumpert's role was reduced as he managed a meager 3.3 points and 2.2 rebounds in 17.5 minutes a night.
